Local Lib Dems In Denial Over Their Tax Rises
A massive leaflet delivery programme by New Forest East Conservatives, in which our opponent's well-concealed tax proposals were revealed has met with a predictable attempt at denial by local Liberal Democrats. However the reality is that every one of their 40 tax proposals is supported by clear evidence from their own literature and statements made by their own party spokesmen.[See earlier news item - "Lib Dem Tax Sting" for details of their proposals]
Often people tempted to vote Lib Dem believe that they are voting for a softer version of the Conservatives, or in Labour areas a softer version of Labour, but the facts show otherwise. For too long Lib Dem policies have escaped close scrutiny, but no more, from now on we intend to make sure the public are fully aware of what they propose.
